What is our truth?
The truth is that creativity has been stifled and stunted by large organizations seeking to control every story line, and every character ever created.
The truth is, it's extremely difficult for aspiring creators to tell their story, to offer those stories to a voracious and growing group of potential fans in a sea of outside noise.
The Truth is, we want to empower the creators - and help them to bring you more, different, better story lines - not regurgitated overworked characters.
The Truth is, it's time for some new blood.
Veracious
Why the name?
VIM is an acronym for Veracious Imagination Masters. It also means lively or energetic spirit; enthusiasm; vitality. VIM uses the Eye of Horus, which signifies healing and restoration – to bring the reader back to the comic and heal the ailing industry.
VIM is a publishing organization for independent comic book creators.
We interviewed the great Jim Shooter. Jim was the editor in chief at Marvel, writer for DC and helped to create Valiant.
We asked Mr. Shooter, "We heard that every story has already been told. Each person just tells it slightly differently. What do you think about that?"
His answer: "Bullshit. It hasn't been told by me." Those words inspired our internal VIM.
